Erin Merryn

Erin Merryn is a girl who at age 11 suffered sexual abuse at the hands of her cousin at the pleasure and watchful eye of her father. Her diary detailing her abuse, recovery, relapse and reconciliation was published in book form as Stolen Innocence: Triumphing Over a Childhood Broken by Abuse. She has become a crusader for sexual-abuse victims, and actively encourages others to speak out about their own victimization. A story she wrote was featured in an edition of Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul.
