Erin (Joanne) O'Brien (born January 7, 1935) is an American actress active during the mid-twentieth century and best known as the leading lady of the first made-for-TV movie, Girl on the Run, which also served as the pilot for the television series 77 Sunset Strip (source: the Internet Movie Database).

O'Brien was also the female lead in episodes of Maverick, Colt .45, Bat Masterson, Sugarfoot, Cheyenne and others, as listed in the Internet Movie Database. The Warner Bros. studio initially held her in such high regard that she was billed alongside James Garner at the beginning of her first Maverick episode in 1957, a gesture shared by very few actors during the 5-year run of the series (the episode is "Stage West," based upon a Louis Lamour story, and is permanently available for viewing at the Museum of Television & Radio in New York City and Los Angeles, along with many other episodes from the series). From 1956 to 1958, O'Brien was a featured solo singer on The Steve Allen Show (cited in the Internet Movie Database).

O'Brien's movies, as listed in her New York Times filmography, were the notorious Andy Griffith and Walter Matthau flop Onionhead (1958), John Paul Jones (1959) starring Robert Stack as the famed mariner, and a smaller but prominent role in the 1967 James Coburn spy spoof In Like Flint.
