Erin Cardillo (February 17, 1977) was born in White Plains, New York. Erin attended Northwestern University and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Performance Studies. It was there that she began to explore writing and adaptation, as well as acting. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1999. Erin spent her junior year abroad in London, through Marymount College, where she cultivated her great love of Shakespeare. After college Erin moved to New York City where she jumped into the theater. She worked with many new playwrights including college friend Sam Forman, who's play Hunter for Hunter Green help catapult her into TV and film work. After booking two television jobs, on the short lived sitcom Madigan Men, with Gabriel Byrne, and long standing Law and Order, Erin was hooked and knew that a move to LA would be inevitable. Before moving to Los Angeles Erin attended The Public Theater's Shakespeare Lab (associated with the New York Shakespeare Festival).
In the past few years while residing in Los Angeles Erin has written and produced a short film (The Murder of Donovan Slain), and acted in over 10 films. She has appeared in guest-starring and recurring roles on ABC, NBC, CBS, NICK, FOX and Lifetime series. A staged reading of her first play, Mercy Park, was performed in 2005 starring Amy Adams and Josh Radnor.
She now plays the character Esme on Passions. Esme will be returning to Harmony 2 August 2007
