[edit] Big Brother 4

Landin made her Big Brother debut in Big Brother 4 dubbed 'The X-Factor' due to eight of the thirteen HouseGuests having an ex-boyfriend or girlfriends in the House with them. Landin's ex-boyfriend in the House was Robert Roman. Landin was the most popular HouseGuest during her season forming an unlikely alliance with the older family man, Jack Owens Jr. Landin made it all the way to the final four but was eventually evicted on Day 69 and then became a member of the seven contestant jury.

[edit] Big Brother: All-Stars

In the summer of 2006, Landin was announced as one of the 20 houseguests eligible to enter the Big Brother: All-Stars house. On July 3, 2006, it was announced that Landin was the second woman voted into the house by the viewers. Early in the season, Landin was nick-named 'Amber Alert' after Amber Brkich from Survivor by her fellow houseguests due to her under the radar strategy. During the course of the season, Erika was nominated a total of five times, winning the vote over Diane Henry in week 4, over Marcellas Reynolds in week 6, over Howie Gordon in week 7, and over Will Kirby in week 9. (In week 8, she won the Power of Veto and vetoed her nomination by Janelle Pierzina [who had also nominated her in weeks 4 and 6].) Landin also won the Power of Veto in week 2. She won her only Head of Household in week 8, although she had originally won the week 6 Head of Household competition, only to see the competition redone due equipment difficulties. Erika developed an intimate relationship with Mike Malin while in the house that he later dubbed a 'showmance'. Landin managed to make it all the way to the final two with Malin, before losing the final vote by a margin of 6-1. Her friend and alliance member, Marcellas Reynolds was the only one that voted for her to win.
