Erik Ramstad

Erik Ramstad was one of the founders of Minot, North Dakota. He homesteaded in the area and sold a plot of land to the railroad. The city of Minot was built on this land. Ramstad later donated another plot of land that Minot State University was built on.
The middle school (grades 6-8) south of Minot State University is named after him.
Ramstad was active in local politics for many years.
