Erik Møse

Judge Erik Møse of Norway is the President of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR).
Judge Møse was born in 1950. He graduated from the University of Oslo and had post-graduate studies in Geneva. He then taught at Oslo University. He then became a Fellow at the University of Essex in England and has published extensively in the field of human rights.
Prior to joining ICTR, he was Head of Division in the Ministry of Justice in Norway until 1986; Deputy Judge, Supreme Court Advocate at the Solicitor General's Office from 1986 to 1993; Judge at the Court of Appeals in Oslo from 1993 to 1999.
Judge Møse became President of the ICTR in 2003, succeeding Navanethem Pillay.
Judge Møse has two children Frederick and Christine who both attended International School Moshi Arusha Campus and International School Moshi.
