Erik Lund (footballer)

Erik Lund (born November 6, 1988 in Sweden) is a professional footballer who currently plays for Aston Villa in the FA Premier League. Lund was signed on July 1, 2005 from Swedish team Ljungskile SK.

Lund appeared in 10 games for Aston Villa Reserves in the 2006/07 season, and scored a rare goal in the opening match of the HKFC Philips Lighting International Soccer Sevens against Hong Kong Football Club in a 1-0 victory. On June 3rd 2007, Lund signed a 2-year contract at Aston Villa, keeping the Swede at Villa Park until 2009.

In August 2007, Lund made his debut for the Aston Villa first team, coming on as a substitute for Craig Gardner in the pre-season friendly against Walsall.
