Erick Barkley

Erick Barkley (born February 21, 1978, in Queens, New York) is an American professional basketball player. He was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 1st round (28th pick) of the 2000 NBA Draft. He played high school basketball at Christ The King RHS and college basketball at St. John's University along with Ron Artest. He was traded by the Blazers with Steve Kerr and a 2003 second-round pick to the San Antonio Spurs for Antonio Daniels, Amal McCaskill and Charles Smith on August 5, 2002, and the Chicago Bulls in October, waived before the season began.
Since he left the NBA, Barkley went on to play in Greece in Peristeri, but was waived off his team after 2 games. In the 2003-2004 season he played in the NBDL's Huntsville Flight and, after his time in the D-League he returned to play in Greece, for Olympia Larissas BC, in 2004-2005.
In the 2005-2006 season, he tried his luck with Maccabi Ironi Ramat Gan of Israel but was quickly waived, later joining Swiss team BBC Sion-Herens. The following season, Barkley returned to the States, appearing for the CBA's Indiana Alley Cats.
