Eric Taylor is an American singer-songwriter from Texas. He is known for his highly literate songs which often take the form of short stories. In addition to Taylor's seven solo releases, his songs have been recorded by Nanci Griffith, Lyle Lovett and many others.

Eric Taylor was born in Atlanta Georgia in 1949. His parents moved to the Greenville/Spartanburg area of South Carolina when Taylor was six months old, but returned to Georgia when he was eleven years old.[1] Taylor began writing poetry and short stories at a very young age and began writing songs as a teenager.[1] ...
