Eric Paulsen is an anchorman for WWL-TV in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has been part of the news team since 1977.
Eric was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and attended Southern Illinois University. It was there he began his broadcasting career, reporting, writing and anchoring for the student-run 5 o'clock newscast that aired on the local PBS station.
Eric started WWL-TV's Morning News broadcast in the late 1970's. He later went on to host the local version of the nationally-syndicated show "PM Magazine" with Lee Sinclair from 1979 until 1984. Eric also conducted the last in-depth broadcast interview with Tennessee Williams.
Eric has co-anchored the "Eyewitness Morning News" since 1985, first with Andre Trevigne and then with Sally-Ann Roberts. He assumed anchoring WWL's "Twelve O'Clock News" the retirement of Bill Elder in 2000.
