Eric Alexander (born on February 8, 1982 in Tyler, Texas) is an American football linebacker for the New England Patriots of the National Football League. He attended Stephen F. Austin High in Port Arthur, Texas. In his post-secondary education he attended LSU where he received a major in engineering. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New England Patriots on April 29, 2004 and spent the last two seasons on their practice squad. In August 2006, Alexander made the opening 53 man roster.
