Eric Wright (born on July 24, 1985) is a starting cornerback for the Cleveland Browns. He previously attended the University of Southern California and the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Wright is a 2004 graduate of Archbishop Riordan High School in San Francisco.

Wright attended USC for 2 years,where he redshirted his first year, and started his second year, including the 2005 Orange Bowl game, where he recorded four tackles and an interception. The Orange Bowl victory gave the Trojans their second consecutive National Championship, and 11th football title overall. Wright soon transferred to UNLV after he was suspected of off the field issues, which saw no charges filed. Wright played one year at UNLV before deciding to declare for the NFL Draft. Eric Wright attended Archbishop Riordan High School in San Francisco, California. He was a university studies major.

Wright was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the second round (53rd overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft. The Browns acquired the pick from the Dallas Cowboys to select Wright. He recorded his first career interception on October 14, 2007, against Miami Dolphins quarterback Cleo Lemon.
