ERG Group
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
ERG Group is an Australia-based technology company that specialises in smart card systems and applications. It has been involved in projects around the world, including Hong Kong's Octopus card system,[1] San Francisco's TransLink system,[2] and Stockholm's Resekortet system.[3] The company has been listed on the Australian Stock Exchange under the symbol "ERG" since 1985.[4]
The company was recently terminated from its contract to develop the T-card system for Sydney due to an overblow of its budget and deployment projections as well as constant delays in production of the system. The NSW government is considering attempting to recoup the loss of taxpayer dollars on the project.[5] As of the 29th of January, the company has indefinitely suspended trading of its shares on the Australian Stock Exchange.[6]
