Eral Bazaar is very famous for shopping in Tuticorin district. Especially for textiles, copper vessels and fruits. All FMCG(Fast Moving Consumer Goods)products are available in very cheap price compare to other cities in India. There are around 1000 shops in a single bazaar and all are arranged in a well planned manner.

A muslim mosque, a protestant church,an Roman catholic church and a hindu temple have been built within a radius of 50 meters to show the unity the unity of the people belonging to various religions. Eral is bounded by Thamirabarani river in South, canal of Thamirabarani in North, Kottaikkadu a village in West and Vazhavallan a village in East.

        There is a primary health center with 3 doctors which functions 24 hrs. Apart from this Dr. K.S.Martin Thomas,a pediatrician,Dr. S.R.Janakiraman,Dr. VimalaJanakiraman,gynacologist,Dr.Saravanakumar,Dr.Bagirathi,obstetrician and Dr.A.D.Sugirtharaj are practicing medicine here.

Eral is very famous for "CHAIRMAN ARUNASALAM SWAMIGAL" Temple. It is located on the Northern the bank of Thamirabarani river.Adi and Thai Amavasai ( Moonless day or new moon day ) aređ celebrated. "SRI DEVI NATTAR AMMAN" is next famous temple situated in eral.

Eral is having Very famous hotel's 1)almost 100year old Sulthaniya Hotel famous for halwa. 2)Very famous for fast food A1 hotel all kind of Indian and chines food. 3)Very famous Veg. Hotel (Aruna Cafe).
