I'm a novice Wiki contributor with a background in Materials Science (Ph. D. Northwestern), and additional interests/experience in biology, astronomy, and other sciences.

I've published around a half dozen papers (including one in Nature), have applied for four patents, and have worked for over a decade in failure analysis, and materials science support in industry. I've also taught as an adjunct at Delta College and Saginaw Valley State University on an occaisional basis since 2003, teaching Physics, Math, Chemistry, Biology and General Science.

In my free time I enjoy rockclimbing, kayaking, and being with my kids.
