I do not know alot about how the ENTER is calculated from different states' assessment programs but I do know that Victoria's ENTER and NSW UAI are not, in all respects, the same. For instance the maximum score for Victoria's ENTER is 99.95 whereas the maximum UAI is 100. This means either that the interpretation of students ENTER's is different in different states or that the Victorian score or the NSW score must undergo some sort of moderation. Perhaps this can be cleared up in discussion and then incorporated in the article.

It is only called ENTER in Victoria. In South Australia and the Northern Territory it is just called TER. I think it is called TER in Western Australian and Tasmania too. New South Wales and the ACT call it UAI and Queensland uses a different system. In theory the TER scores can be compared across states but it seems very Victoria-centric to call the article by the Victorian name. Troyac 09:55, 25 July 2005 (UTC)
The link I've added - Description of the scaling process - is one to my own site with details of the scaling process (and a crude calculator) that was the result of a lot of messing around while procrastinating for exams back in Year 12. In Victoria it was called TER up until at least 1997 (I know because I have a TER not an ENTER ;) I think the article should somehow note this. spacehunt

The article states that in Queensland we use a different system called "Overall Position (OP)". This is not entirely correct. Students do not have to take the Queensland Core Skills Test and receive an OP. If they don't they receive a selection rank which I thought was comparable to the ENTER however I'm not sure.
