Talk:Equity Media Holdings

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Outside of the station list (which I plan on converting to tables when I find some coherent way to deal with larger market foreign language vs. smaller market affiliates), I've done some work on the company description. If anyone thinks this is in need of the cleanup tag once again, please let me know. Scrabbleship 04:12, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

"Controversilly replacing UPN" is well said. I couldn't believe it when I saw the channel line ups, for example they are now showing Kojak in time slot where WWE Smackdown used to be shown...who on earth wants to watch Kojak, retired cops maybe. Someone was definitly high...--Gusiman 03:45, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] KMCC and KPHO-TV

The information on W9WI is incorrect. KMCC has never been associated with KPHO-TV. I have observed this station first-hand on several occasions since it signed on, the last time on June 26, 2006. KMCC is a Teleformula station, just as the Equity Broadcasting website reports, and was a satellite of KVBC Las Vegas before then. The station had signed on as a KVBC satellite. --dhett 22:04, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Equity Broadcasting is now Equity Media Holdings Corporation

Equity Broadcasting was acquired in a reverse merger with Coconut Palm Acquisition Corp, which renamed itself on 25th April, 2007 to Equity Media Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ:EMDA) after the merger. This page should be renamed to reflect the new company name.

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Equitybroadcasting.jpg

Image:Equitybroadcasting.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
