[edit] Last sentence

The last sentence of the article is very vague due to its high content of (I'm assuming) Latin words and phrases, two of which are red-linked. Could someone translate this so it makes some sense to those of us who aren't ancient Romans?

This is the sentence I'm referring to: There was a traditional fight over its head between the inhabitants of the Subura who wanted it for the Turris Mamilia, and those of the Via Sacria who wanted it for the regia. --clpo13(talk) 18:52, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
