[edit] Narrowing of an established term/NPOV

Podiatry encompasses more than barefoot management. The podiatry center at North Carolina State University Veterinary school, Rood and Riddle Podiatry Center, the International Equine Podiatry Center, the Rocky Mountain Equine Podiatry Center,Northern Virginia Equine Podiatry, the Reata Equine Hospital podiatry center, and others all combine veterinary and farrier care in ways that often involve shoes. And the book with this name, for example, goes in to great detail on hoof care. And, yes, shoes:

This page needs to have a broader definition. A statement something like: "A recent movement by a group called The Equine Podiatry Association in the UK emphasizes a barefoot-only approach to hoof care" seems appropriate, referenced in the text.--Getwood (talk) 07:52, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
