Equity Music Group
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Equity Music Group is a country music record label founded in 2003 by Clint Black, who was also the label's flagship artist.
The label, distributed by Koch Entertainment, aims to change the music industry's business model by being more fair to artists. The name "Equity" was chosen to represent the equality between the artist and the label. According to Equity, "The artists will own what they create and get paid from the very first scanned sale. In turn, the label has a vested interest in other aspects of the artist's career."[1]
