Equis International, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Thomson Reuters, and a leading provider of technical analysis software for both the individual investor, as well as institutional customers.

Equis has produced numerous retail versions of both the end-of-day and real-time versions of MetaStock, a well known technical analysis software.
Equis has also produced charting and technical analysis components for Reuters institutional products, including Reuters' premium desktop platform, 3000 Xtra, and the Reuters Knowledge family of products.

Equis International was founded in 1982 by Steve Achelis. In 1996, the company was acquired by Reuters. On April 17, 2008, Reuters was acquired by The Thomson Corporation, forming Thomson Reuters. Prior to the merger, Equis had been designated by Reuters as its strategic graphics and technical analysis center of excellence. It is expected that Equis will continue to play a prominent role in the graphics and technical analysis strategy of the newly-formed Thomson Reuters going forward.
