Equally Cursed and Blessed is a 1999 album by Welsh band Catatonia. This was Catatonia's third album, and like its predecessor International Velvet reached no.1 in the charts. However, sales were down compared to the previous album, and the album was criticised for its often dark and miserable tone. The album spawned only one top ten single, Dead from the Waist Down, while tracks such as Londinium and Karaoke Queen charted terribly, not even reaching the top 20. Although many consider this as Catatonia's finest work, the album is often seen as a faliure.
