Equal Justice Foundation

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Equal Justice Foundation (EJF) is the name used by many public interest law organization at American law schools. EJF organizations are typically members of Equal Justice Works (EJW), a national coalition of public interest law student organizations. The purpose of EJF, on most law school campuses, is to raise awareness regarding the importance of public interest law, its purpose in society, and the many opportunities it provides to attorneys in this field. EJF organizations are typically entirely student-run and have as their central goal raising money in order to provide individual scholarships for students seeking summer jobs in public interest (which generally offer no compensation).
