[edit] Notability of SpongeBong HempPants
A tag has been placed on SpongeBong HempPants, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. slakr 19:19, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Destructive attacks on illustrations
How exactly am I supposed to get a replacement photo of Ian Woosnam? He doesn't live next door to me. This is the end of my attempts to help to illustrate Wikipedia, as it is patently a complete waste of time and effort and is not appreciated. I just wanted you to know that your efforts are not appreciated, and in my opinion are destructive to the project, as they demoralise and drive away well meaning contributors. Thanks for nothing. - Yeah I feel the same way you do. --Eqdoktor 13:42, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:Longines logo.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:Longines logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 00:20, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tiger Woods vandalism tag removal
The tag read: "Editing of this article by unregistered or newly registered users is currently disabled until September 29, 2007 (UTC) due to vandalism." In your edit summary, you wrote that it had expired. I'm not so good with tags, so can you explain why it was removed? Thanks. Supertigerman 16:53, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- My bad :P , I could have sworn it read August 29 when I edited it. Very odd that, I blame the August 29 = September 29 brain gremlins. I have reverted the tag as the protection is still in place (IP editors cannot edit). Thanks for the note. --Eqdoktor 06:21, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:StXavier-Logo.png
Thanks for uploading Image:StXavier-Logo.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 15:52, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- Fixed - to the owners of the bot or anyone who reads this who can fix the problem: The image was tagged with a warning because the fair use template was changed since the image was uploaded (and the proper fair use rationales filled out). The image had the proper fair use but since the bot did not check the fields used in the earlier revision, it was tagged improperly. It happened on this revision of the template and will probably happen on any future revs of the fair use template. Hence its less of a hassle to just write out the fair use rationale instead of templates (which is used to make cataloging images easier) to avoid harassment from bots. --Eqdoktor 08:29, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
