Template talk:Eprint reference

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

All arXiv preprints are accessed via an abstract page which has a url of form http://www.arxiv.org/abs/ followed by a section like "gr-qc", followed by a number like "9811093" in which the first two digits encode the year that the preprint was first submitted.

Syntax:

{{Eprint reference|author= |title= |arxiv= |date= |year= }}

Do not capitalise or decapitalise any parts of the above.

Because this template is quite simple, it will always be best to substitute it. This means that when you call it, stick a subst: in front of the first brackets like this: {{subst:Eprint reference|author=......}}. This will cause the text to be directly transcluded, and will prevent any problems in case this template might come under deletion.
