ePrivacy Group was a privacy consulting and anti-spam technology firm, founded in 2000 by Vincent Schiavone, Michael Miora, Stephen Cobb, and David Brussin. Headquartered in Malvern, Pennsylvania, ePrivacy Group developed the Trusted Sender email authentication and anti-phishing technology. The company also proposed the Trusted Email Open Standard, which was an open version of the Trusted Sender technology. The firm also developed an anti-spam technology known as "SpamSquelcher" which was later spun off to form the company TurnTide Inc. TurnTide was sold in 2004 to Symantec for $28 million and ePrivacy Group was dissolved.
