Epitáfio is the fifteenth single by Titãs, released in 2002. The song peaked at #6 at the Hot100Brasil[1]. The song is a tribute to Marcelo Fromer, former guitarist of the band who died after being rammed by a motorcycle. As the title describes, it is an epitaph, that sounds more like a regret, with the lines “Devia ter amado mais, ter chorado mais…ter visto o sol nascer” (I should have loved more, should have cried more…should have seen the sunrise), and other similar phrases starting with “I should have…”. Also, the chorus “O acaso vai me proteger enquanto eu andar distraído” (Hazard will protect me, while I walk distracted) refers to the fact that Marcelo was walking when the motorcycle hit him.

It was included in the soundtrack of telenovela Desejos de Mulher.

The music video, featuring archive footage of the Titãs in their daily lives, won three awards at the MTV Video Music Brasil, including Viewer's Choice and Video of the Year.
