The Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio, is the diocese of the Episcopal Church in the United States of America with jurisdiction over southern Ohio. It is in Province 5 and its cathedral, Christ Church Cathedral, is in Cincinnati|, as are the diocesan offices. The suffragain bishop's office is in Columbus[1] The Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio was split from the Diocese of Ohio which was the first to be organized beyond the original 13 colonies. Thomas A. Jaggar became the first bishop in 1874.

The Rt. Rev. Thomas E. Breidenthal is the ninth and current bishop of Southern Ohio. He has a bachelor's from Portland State University, a master's from the University of Victoria, a master's in divinity from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific and an earned doctorate from Oxford University in England.[2]

The Rt. Rev. Kenneth L. Price Jr., has been the suffragan bishop since 1994. He has a bachelor's degree from West Virginia University, a Bachelor of Sacred Theology degree and an honorary doctorate from General Theological Seminary in New York City, and a master's in counseling from Marshall University.[3]
