Epic Mazur (born Bret Mazur) is an American rapper/producer and a a co-founder/front man of Crazy Town.

[edit] Early life

Bret Mazur grew up in Brooklyn, New York before his parents moved across the country to Hollywood, Los Angeles.

At age 16 began to DJ at clubs in LA, where he received the pseudonym "Epic" from a friend.[2]

Was once partners in production team Wolf and Epic (BBD, MC Lyte, MC Serch) with Richard Wolf.

[edit] Formation of Crazy Town

Mazur and Binzer, who were then going by the name of "Shifty Shellshock", started collaborating together in 1995 under the name of "The Brimstone Sluggers". By early 1999, Crazy Town consisted of Mazur, Binzer, Rust Epique, James Bradley Jr., Miller, Adam Goldstein, and Valli. Their début album, The Gift of Game, was released in November 1999, having been recorded earlier that year.

He is currently working on his solo album called Strip to This, which is set to be released in Northern Hemisphere's spring of 2008. Samples of some songs which will be on the album can be heard on his MySpace page.

In a recent interview he said that Crazy Town's third album, Crazy Town Is Back, will drop right after his solo project and that it will be a hip-hop record.

He has one son called Max, born 1996,[2] and his cousin is Monet Mazur. He also had an ongoing relationship with porn star Alexa Rae.
