Hi, my name is Evan and am currently a student at the University of Toronto.
Proposed or planned articles to be created or significantly edited from scratch by myself or in co-operation with other users; these eventually will be or are currently being researched:
- Corsican people (ethnic group)
- Pictish language; Pictavia/Kingdom of the Picts; Origins and physical characteristics of the Picts
- Walloons (ethnic group)
- Frisian people (ethnic group)
- "Correlations" as well as disparancies between 20th cent. physical anthropology and modern population genetics (actual title to be decided later)
Ethnic group articles currently not in accordance with Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, Wikipedia:Verifiability, Wikipedia:WikiProject Ethnic groups or simply in need of my attention sooner rather than later (feel free to add any):
- English people - possibly split further into two new articles between the English people as an ethnic group native/indigenous to England and merely English people as nationals or citizens (possibly merged into Demographics of England). Also considering bringing back "related ethnic groups" box.
- "Austrians"
- Welsh people - similar situation to English people
- French people - this article really needs a clean-up. Split of article into two new separate articles, one on ethnic French and one on French nationals is suggested.
- Ethnic Group
- Kinship
- Franz Boas
- Note: the articles on ethnic groups deal with those indigenous peoples and/or cultures who remain in their original homeland, those who have emigrated to other countries and those who are descendants of those emigrants. Ethnicity/ethnic origin in many cases is separate from and should not be confused with nationality or citizenship.
