EON Digital Entertainment

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

EON Digital Entertainment was a short-lived computer games publishing company based in the UK. It was founded by John Burns, a former managing director of Activision.

The company was founded in 2000[1], initially targeting the PlayStation and GameBoy platforms. Later they went on to also publish several PC games, the first one was called Airfix Dogfighter[2]. In 2001, the company collapsed, leaving some developers like Bethesda Softworks to search for new publishers. EON for example had been set to release The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and Sea Dogs in Europe. [3]
