[edit] Bullying controversies
A Grade 9 student leapt to his death, from the Pattullo Bridge, in November 2000. He left a suicide note complaining about bullying at the school.[1] His mother embarked a long campaign to eradicate bullying.[2]
Students claimed that a Grade 8 boy, who was murdered in February 2008, was a victim of bullying.[3]
[edit] Blood donation
The school won the first annual Young Blood Challenge, in 2006-07, by donating more blood than any other school in British Columbia.[4]
