Talk:Enron Energy Services

Hmm, good start, but, its kind of unclear what the EES business model actually was. The core business seems to be energy conservation products for consumers, but its unclear how this relates to the 'Problems' section - the following two statements don't seem to correlate. What does the energy trading business, and the manipulation of the CA energy market, have to do with conservation products for the consumer market? Essentially, what was EES?
"Part of their strategy was to use two-way wireless electric meters, which could be read remotely and eventually turn air-conditioning and lighting systems on and off by telephone"
"Was alleged that they paid customers to sign contracts, to prove to Wall street that energy trading actually was happening. It was also alleged that the company manipulated the California electricity market to increase profits."
