Enrique César González (born July 14, 1982 in Bolívar, Venezuela) is a right-handed starting pitcher and relief pitcher in Major League Baseball who is currently a reliever for the San Diego Padres.
Enrique made his first start against the Cincinnati Reds on May 28, 2006, pitching 6 innings for the Arizona Diamondbacks and giving up only one run. He was in the rotation for a majority of the season, but was inconsistent and pitched out of the bullpen for the last few weeks of the season. On September 17, 2007, he was claimed off waivers by the Washington Nationals. On February 5, 2008, Gonzalez was claimed off waivers by the San Diego Padres. After appearing in 4 games, he was sent outright to the minors on April 15.
