I am an eNotary in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a commissioned Notary Public, must apply and be commissioned as an eNotary for the Commonwealth. The individual then is eligible for their digital seal, which is purchased after verification of identity by a participating Recorder of Deeds. The term is currently one year, and there is an incremental cost. Enotarizations have occurred in Pennsylvania. A source for information in PA is the PA Department of State website at http://www.dos.state.pa.us/notaries/cwp/view.asp?a=1294&q=446071&notariesNav=|.
