Ennis Haywood (December 5, 1979 — May 11, 2003) is a former American football running back in the NFL for the Dallas Cowboys. He was on the Cowboys practice squad in 2002 before competing for a roster spot in 2003. Haywood played college football at Iowa State University. He ranks 5th on Iowa State's all-time rushing yards list with 2,862 yards and 6th with 27 rushing touchdowns. Haywood was rushed to the hospital on May 10 after he woke up feeling ill, vomiting in his sleep. He died shortly after his family took him off of life support. He is survived by his wife and two children.
