Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. I wanted to direct you to the Wikipedia guidelines regarding conflict of interest. You've made it clear that you have a direct interest in the show that you've created an entry about.
While I applaud your honesty in being forthcoming about that connection, the entry itself has numerous issues that betray your relationship to the show. You would typically be discouraged from being the creator of such an article as it is nearly impossible for maintain a neutral point of view. As it stands, there are parts of this entry that are clearly advertising that does not fall within the purview of an encyclopedia article.
I would typically nominate an article like this for speedy deletion, based on the advertising issue, but I think that this may actually be a worthwhile topic for an encyclopedia entry. I would suggest taking a close look at the two policy guidelines that I linked to above and seeing if you can make some improvements to the article that will make it an objective and verifiable (read that guideline too) source of information about the show. - I also noticed that, as it stands, the presentation of this page constitutes a copyright violation. Again, this is grounds for speedy deletion, but since you are connected to the show, perhaps this is something you can address. Take a look at WP:CP to see if it's something you can resolve. Hi there,
As project manager of the Free SPiriit Community Portal (www.freespiritsa.co.za) I would like to inform you that I fully authorise the article entitled "Free Spirit Television Series", that was first added to WIKIPEDIA on 15 February 2007.
I am aware of the fact that the content is rather similar to that which appears on the About Us page on the official site www.freespiritsa.co.za, , and in fact in order to stay true to the facts pertaining to this television series, I simply did some minor content editing in order to present the facts in a more objective manner (with less of a marketing approach). I will rework it to remove any hints of advertising :)
I will also include a reference to the original source of hte content at the bottom of the article as well as a copyright notice on hte discussion page....
We plan to include images and short write-ups of some of the international celebrities that have been featured on the show in the past. (Just waiting for footage from the production house)
THis is my first entry to this fantastic encyclopedia, and I appreciate your patience and advise!
Publishing my first wikipedia article proved to be more tricky than I anticipated!
