[edit] The life of Øyvind Ingvaldsen
Øyvind Ingvaldsen was born in Bodø on July 4, 1987, but spent most of his early life in the valley Saltdal, north in Norway. He learned to read and write early (rumours say that the singer Sara Marie Bjelvin taught him), but he was never a top scholar.
From 2003 through 2006 he studied at Saltdal Upper Secondary School. There he studied chemistry, maths and physics, but he excelled in subjects like geography, French and Russian. And the school had another formative impact; it was in his math classes that he first met Sveinung Utaaker, who influenced his early thinking and poetry.
[edit] Writing style
Øyvind Ingvaldsen is known for his complex writing style. His poems are often written in different languages (some times mixed up), and in his own constructed languages like enk and eublan.
[edit] Work
Øyvind Ingvaldsen's latest poem collection "Valeo" was released in 2006, and has received positive reviews from the critics. He shows promise, if his work continues to matures, of winning awards such as the The Norwegian Critics Prize for Literature and even the The Nordic Council's Literature Prize.
