Eniwa, Hokkaidō

Eniwa (恵庭市 Eniwa-shi?) is a city located in Ishikari, Hokkaidō, Japan.
As of 2008, the city has an estimated population of 68,469 and the density of 225.22 persons per km². The total area is 294.87 km².
The city was founded on November 1, 1970.
Eniwa is accessed by an expressway with an interchange in the west and route 36 runs through Eniwa and route 453.

- 1897 Izari and Shimamatsu Village split off of Chitose Village
- 1906 Izari Village and Shimamatsu Village merge to form Second class municipality Eniwa Village
- 1923 Eniwa becomes a First Class Municipality
- 1951 Eniwa Village becomes Eniwa Town
- November 1, 1970 Eniwa Town becomes Eniwa City
