Hi, I came across this article that you wrote. Another user claimed that it should be deleted, but I explained that it should not be. However, there are a few issues with the article. First of all, where did you get the information from? Wikipedia works by citing published, verifiable sources. If this is original research, it is not welcome at Wikipedia until it has been published elsewhere. Also, it would be nice if it had some internal links. Say you wanted to link to the article entitled 'cat', you would type '[[cat]]', and it would look like this- 'cat'. Also, sections help split up the article. Say you wanted a new section called 'Cats in popular culture', you would type '==Cats in popular culture=='. Also, you can then have sub sections. 'Cats in popular television' would then be '===Cats in popular television==='. Feel free to message me if you want a hand with anything. J Milburn 16:47, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for taking my advice! I am gonna work on improving the article a little further myself. Another note- when you say something on a talk page, sign it by typing '~~~~'. That leaves a signature, and a timestamp, as there are at the end of my comments. J Milburn 17:02, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- There, I have cleaned up the article a little further. I realised that you had actually copy and pasted the information- unless the text is in the public domain, or available under a free documentation liscense, then you are not allowed to do that. Try and remember that in future, otherwise there is a good chance your articles will be deleted. J Milburn 17:24, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
