Long term Electrical Engineer interested in many subjects.
BSEE from U of I Chicago. Majored in Control Theory (Feedback, Servos, Phase & Gain Margin, Stability, Overshoot, Damping, Lock Time, Nyquist, Nichols, Bode plots, Poles and Zeros, Root Locus, etc.) Reside in N.E. Illinois with Wife.
As an Engineer, specialized in PLL Frequency synthesizers. Also designed RF PAs, Audio, Power supplies, digital, DC brushless motor drive, car phone circuitry, early cell phone synthesizers and a wide variety of other circuitry.
Designed the first hand held amateur radio transceiver frequency synthesizer for 144 MHz. in 1973.
Designed the hardware and wrote the software for a laser light show system with multiple image capability and control of image motions using a command and control system enabling close choreography to music.
I became interested in interpolation for the laser light show system. The two primary areas being image smooting and key frame animation, both for reducing the artist workload. After much study and an extensive collection of notes and studies on the various interpolation types (as well as developing a few things I hadn't seen before. I have yet to apply any of it to the laser images (:-(.
Currently writing VBA code in Excel for control and memory management of amateur radio transceivers via the PC serial port.
