No time to improve the article right now, but the "Engler system" extended over a series of volumes over quite a long period of time and had contributions from many of the greatest botanists of the time; I'm not sure how much of it should be attributed to Engler himself, although some of it was probably modified or improvised along the way. Yes, there an entire Engler Schule. However, in matters such as this entry I am first and foremost trying to provide accurate basic information. I am not trying to be complete. Compared to what I would expect to be present on botany in an encyclopedia, Wikipedia is 95% empty, and what information there is often is flawed. So if you would like to go into detail on the Engler Schule, go ahead. It is not on my list of priorities. Brya 08:16, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
