[edit] Catalytic converter
A cursory google search reveals that numerous individuals and companies invented various components of the catalytic converter. To say that Englehard is the inventor implies that contributions were not made by others and this does not seem to be accurate. I believe it is safer to say that Englehard pioneered development. Therefore, I replaced the unsourced "It is credited with the invention..." with "It is credited with pioneering development...". Accurizer 14:29, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

- They appear to have been the first to market with a catalytic converter
[edit] Redirect and Disambig.
My recommendations:
- "Engelhard" should be a redirect to the disambiguation page.
- This page should be "Engelhard Corporation"
- Material needs to be added to connect it to "Engelhard Minerals and Chemicals Corporation" and "Phibro Corporation"
- More history like the 1967 merger of "Chemicals Philipp Inc." with Engelhard ("Stockholders Vote Merger Of Engelhard and Philipp", New York Times, 1967-09-27, p. 66.) patsw 03:20, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
