Non-free / fair use media rationale - non-free logo for Pokémon
Description

This is a logo for Pokémon. Further details: The official logo of Pokémon, the English variant of the original Japanese Poketto Monsutā.

Source

Because no ready for use SVG version of the logo has been officialy made available by Nintendo, a low quality SVG drawing was extracted from https://www.pokemonlearningleague.com/docs/PLL_ResearchBasis.pdf. Gradients were added by Tkgd2007, using Adobe Illustrator CS3, to resemble the logo used on pokemon.com as closely as possible.

Article

Pokémon

Portion used

The complete logo is used to convey the meaning intended and avoid tarnishing or misrepresenting the intended image.

Low resolution?

The logo is a size and resolution sufficient to maintain the quality intended by the company or organization, without being unnecessarily high resolution.

Purpose of use

The image is used solely for informational purposes on Wikipedia. It illustrates the logo which represents one of the most successful media franchises ever. Almost all Euro-American products of this franchise somehow contained this logo, making it of historic importance. The logo is not used in such a way that a reader would be confused into believing that the article is written or authorized by the owner of the logo.

Replaceable?

Because it is a logo there is almost certainly no free equivalent.

Other information Use of the logo in the article complies with Wikipedia non-free content policy, logo guidelines, and fair use under United States copyright law as described above.
