The England national netball team is the national netball team of England. The team competed in the 2007 Netball World Championships in New Zealand, and came fourth, the same placing they achieved at the 2003 Netball World Championships. The England team is captained by Amanda Newton, coached by Marg Caldow (assisted by Denise Egan), and managed by Lesley Dixon. The England team was regarded as one of the favourites for the competition, having beaten New Zealand (current World Champions) in May 2007 - the first win over NZ for 32 years, winning test series 3-0 against Jamaica (currently world number 3) and South Africa (currently world number 5) and running Australia closer than ever before in May 2007. England has appeared at every World Championships since their inception in 1963.
