Engineer's Day

In India, Engineer's day is celebrated on September 15th every year.
The day is the birthday of Mokshagundam Visvesvarayya, an eminent Indian engineer and statesman. He served as the chief engineer during construction of Krishna Raja Sagara dam on river Kaveri River near Mysore.He also built many dams in present day Maharashtra ( previously Bombay presidency ).The dams built by him are still functional even today .A testimony o his brilliance,skill,honesty and dedication.
Engineer's Day is celebrated in many way like cultural events, felicitation, seminar etc. A website, claiming to be developed in record time , may be world record,www.EngineersDay.infowas launched by Poet Author (Kavi Sahityakar)Shri Sanjeev Kunar Thakur. The most interesting story is the site was developed by a 12 year school student Ria Bhagnari
