Enfield Power Station

Enfield Power Station is a 392MW gas-fired station, opened on part of the original Brimsdown Power Station site on Brancroft Way. It is near the A1055 and Lee Valley Park.

Known as Enfield Power Station (originally Enfield Energy Centre) this has been operated by E.ON UK since May 6 2005, being bought for £109m and became E.ON's fifth gas power station. Construction was started in September 1997. It was commissioned in December 2002. It employs thirty people, although there could be more Hoppe.
It was opened as the Enfield Energy Centre Ltd, being owned by Indeck Energy Services and Enfield Holdings BV, itself jointly owned by NRG Energy Services and El Paso Energy.

It is a CCGT type natural gas power station. There is only one Alstom GT26B gas turbine. From the TEi-Struthers Well (owned by Babcock Power Inc) heat recovery steam generator, there is an ABB steam turbine, connected to an electrical generator rated at 400 MVA and with a terminal voltage of 23kV. It connects to the National Grid via a transformer at 132kV.
