Enda Caldwell (born in Dublin on March 28, 1975) is an Irish radio presenter from Kilberry, Navan, County Meath currently on air on Radio Luxembourg[1]
[edit] Career
Enda Caldwell's radio career began on Irish Pirate Radio in 1992 at KISS FM in Dundalk. He studied Radio Production and Journalism at BCFE in Dublin from 1993 to 1995, during which time he presented some Friday afternoon shows for "Dublin's Dance Music Factory" on Sunset 107, under the name Enda Story. He also helped Greg Parke set up Energy Radio in Navan.
After college, Enda worked evenings at Tipp FM, WLR FM in Waterford and LMFM in Louth and Meath before debuting at South East Radio in 1997 with "South East Radio's Power FM." He also worked briefly at Q 102.9 in Derry and Midlands 103 before moving to Kiss 106 in Northern Ireland, where he launched the station's live programming by presenting its first live breakfast show.
Enda later became Head of Production at the satellite station Radio Limerick One and RLO TV, based in Limerick. In late 1999 and early 2000, Caldwell was also DJ-ing live at many venues across Ireland.
In February 2000, John O'Hara hired Enda as the overnight presenter with the newly relaunched Atlantic 252. Enda earned an international reputation working for RTE and RTL Group for almost two years, presenting every possible shift on the station. His work there included the final live show from their studios at Mornington House in County Meath at the end of 2001, when the station closed.
For the next several years, Enda worked at a number of radio stations in the United Kingdom and Ireland, including Today FM Ireland; Cool FM Northern Ireland; Wyvern FM; Beat 102-103 in southeast Ireland; Kiss 100 in London; Xfm London; Real Radio in Wales; Reading 107; Choice FM in Ireland; and Dublin's Country Mix 106.8 FM.
Currently, Enda is the nightly imaging/station identification voice of The Nightly Download Chart on "The Fridge" on FM 104, Dublin's number-one commercial radio station. He has also voiced radio imaging for other stations including Spirit FM in Ireland.
