After Emily "disrespected" Dante and his "family", he shows up at her house with a knife.

Detective Yokas tries to negotiate a peaceful ending to a televised hostage crisis where a young man Tommy threatens to kill his father who sexually abused children while heading a bizarre religious cult. All the while, unbeknownst to Yokas, her own daughter Emily is being held captive at home by a wannabe vampire Dante. Elsewhere, Cruz vows revenge when her partner Santiago is shot as payback in a deadly gang turf war; Carlos is frustrated in his attempts to propose to Levine, and Grace agonizes over a comatose Finney. Emily is rescued by Bosco when he showed up at Faith's house to talk to her but whe realised Emily was in trouble he shot Dante while he had blurry eyes. At the end of the night when Faith was getting ready to leave her shift when a grenade smashed through the locker room window.

- When Dante threatens to kill her, Emily makes reference to Buffy, of the TV show "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". Harris Yulin (Jonathan Turner) guest-starred on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" for one episode during Seasons 3, 5, and 7.
