Encyclopedia of Life Support Systems

The Encyclopedia of Life Support Systems or EOLSS is an interdisciplinary encyclopedia, sponsored by UNESCO and free for Least Developed Countries (LDC). It was inspired by the sustainable development movement.
The EOLSS defines: "A life support system is any natural or human-engineered (constructed or made) system that furthers the life of the biosphere in a sustainable fashion."
